Assembling the ISU
ISU Hull Top Sprue
Hull and Track Sprue
Begin assembly by gluing the tracks onto the hull. The keys ensure you put the tracks on the correct sides.
Now glue the body onto the hull.
Next glue on commander's hatch piece. You can chose between an open or closed hatch.
Time to add the gun. You can chose between the 152mm and 122mm guns. Make sure the gun is completely inside the mantlet, rotate it so the keys line up.
Glue the gun mount top of piece in place.
Glue the vision port and headlight piece to the front of the body. There is a key to help position it correctly.
Next, glue the superstructure back plate to the body as seen below.
Adding the external fuel drums. The standard layout was two on each side of the hull. But historical photos commonly show vehicles with some or all of the tanks removed, so feel free to leave some off to give your force some variety.
There is also an option to add spare tracks to the front of the hull.
